Consortium
The Consortium consists of national and regional level user organisations who are active in GMES projects or bodies or in both. Within the Consortium, the Project Management Team is a core group the members of which fulfill special roles regarding the major objects of consideration: User involvement, data utilisation, national and regional level stakeholders, and European/international level stakeholders. The Management Team also jointly takes decisions as to the development of GNU. The different topics GNU works on are addressed by subteams. They much overlap which is not depicted in the graphic for the sake of claritiy. The partnership is described in the section Composition of the Consortium.
Extended Consortium
To interact with a larger group of subsidiary level stakeholders, not only users, but also service providers and representatives of environmental policy, GNU has formed its Extended Consortium. There will be two joint conferences between the Consortium and the Extended Consortium. The people involved in the Extended consortium are listed in the section Who is GNU.
European/International Level Stakeholders Group
Likewise, GNU has set up a European/International Level Stakeholders Group to enable a well focussed exchange and to disseminate its results in a bilateral way. This group encompasses some of the most important individuals involved in shaping and designing the GMES process, and representatives of GEO and the UN to achieve a wider picture. The people involved in this group are listed in the section Who is GNU.
Other Projects and Networks
Moreover, GNU practices an exchange with different projects and networks pertinent to GMES. For such activities, see the section Events.
